Opinion: Independent Thinking is the key to Political Power

This is the fourth part of our opinion article series; "If you don't like politics, you are doing it wrong" in which we are trying to make people aware of our own responsibilities and the true power we have in the political world. In our last article, we revelled that we can fight the control illusion with the power of independent thinking. More specifically by making young minds politically independent. The most effective way to fight the Control illusion as we see for now.

The question is, how can we make young minds independent while the majority of our society is under the influence of the Control Illusion? The main thing that keeps the Control illusion in power is the lack of political awareness among the society. With the proper political education, young minds can be easily turned into the correct path. If we could show them what the politics actually means by giving them the proper political education and explaining to them how we can make an effect in the political world, people would more likely to become politically independent. Also, we should inspire them to make their own political ideas and views by providing them with a community which will give a value for their ideas.

But there is also a problem with that. In our education system, political education is an optional subject. Most young students choose not to study politics because they don’t understand the value of the subject. It’s very hard to change their mindsets at this point since it’s nearly impossible to practically show how the real political power works in third world countries like ours. As we can see, spreading political awareness through the education system is a lot of work to do. So, we go on and find the best option at the reach of our fingertips; The internet, more specifically the social media platforms. Through the internet, we can spread our knowledge among larger communities with a simple effort. Also, those communities are mostly consisting of young people (It’s free real estate).

As you might understand by now, this cannot be done by a single person or a small group of people alone. A new community, a different one should be formed for this massive effort; A community consist of independent thinkers, philosophers, innovators and leaders. With the political awareness among the common people, they can buildup proper political discussions among them and get rid of the traditional discussions where people try to prove or safeguard ideas of the political parties. They will get the opportunity to make their own ideas and express them, discuss and debate them. That’s how independent thinkers should be made.

More you know about politics (I mean the real politics and not what we have right now in the third world countries like ours), more you are likely to think independently. More independent thinkers in society mean less influence the control illusion has over society. As the control illusion’s effects fade away, political slavery will also decrease giving the room for more independent thinkers to have their voices in the society.

We need to inspire people to have new ideas. Not only just political ideas but also economical, technological, philosophical or any new idea that might do a positive effect on society. In the next step, we need to show them how to discuss their ideas in a greater community and make conclusions out of them and finally, make their idea a reality.

Okay, Sounds pretty cool, right? The problem is this process takes time and time is clearly more valuable than making new ideas and discussing them in our social system. What we need to do is, to give a value for the time someone put on an idea by making that idea a reality. If more people could contribute or support an idea, it will be more likely to become a reality. More people contributed means more valuable the idea is. We have a suggestion, if each member of a large community made for the sole purpose of discussing ideas, could spend 2 - 4 hours per week to make a new or discuss a valuable idea or start a conversation with other thinkers and change your view of the world and learn something new, that time will be truly worthy.

Let’s end these useless arguments about political parties and their ideas. Let’s discuss our own ideas and use our true political power for the betterment of society. Now we explained our plans and it’s time for us to start our main quest. In upcoming articles, we will bring up our political, philosophical and technological ideas to our community. Also, we are hoping to get the ideas from the people in our community and express them through our articles, so we can buildup valuable discussions and spread awareness among the society.
