Australia to consider about the easing of Lockdown measures
The Australian government had decided to consider easing the Coronavirus containment measures on next Friday by relaxing mobility restrictions. Following a cabinet meeting Prime minister, Scott Morrison said that they took the decision as new infections' growth decreased within the country.
With more than 6,700 confirmed COVID-19 cases and over 5,700 recovered cases Australia has reported 92 deaths so far. The numbers are significantly below comparing to other countries and the growth in new infections has slowed down to less than 0.5% a day as an excellent outcome compared to the rate of 25% a month ago.
Government has also urged Australian citizens to download a Coronavirus contact-tracing app. PM Morrison believes that the wide usage of the app would be the "ticket" to resuming normal lives as soon as possible.
Three million people have downloaded the COVIDSafe app since its launch on Sunday evening, the government said.
