Kim Jong Un is 'alive and well'?

South Korean Government again tried to debunk widely spreading rumours about the health of North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un by stating "Kim Jong Un is alive and well"

Moon Chung-in, the top foreign policy adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in said, "Kim Jong Un is alive and well. He has been staying in the Wonsan area since April 13. No suspicious movements have so far been detected."

A former North Korean diplomat and a newly elected South Korean parliament member, Thae Yong ho commented about the rumours by saying that they are not 'based on the facts'. He said, "The only people who can confirm his real condition might be Kim Jong Un's wife or his sister, or his close aides,". Thae also said, "Those rumours of where he is now, (or) whether he has any surgery, I don't think that is really based on the facts,"

The letter from Kim

The latest report against the rumours comes directly from North Korean state media, By publishing a letter dated 27th April 2020, from the North Korean leader in which he congratulated South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Freedom Day.

In the letter addressed to President Ramaphosa, Kim Jong Un expressed his certainty that the two nations' friendship would unendingly expand and develop.
