Opinion: If you don't like politics, you are doing it wrong
Let's keep away the usual boring stories about the history
of politics, democracy and ancient Greek stuff. If you don’t like politics and
don’t even like to talk about politics, this article is the first of a series which will make you reconsider your ideology.
Most people see politics as a way of being controlled by
someone who has more power than themselves. This idea is the main reason for
corrupted governments and self-centred politicians to gain a power that they
don’t deserve, which makes ‘Politics’ is a sickening subject in society.
Politics is not a subject about a single person or a
political party. It’s about ideas of the people, People who work all-day
so their family could have food on their table, People who want their children
to have a better future, People who dream about having a better life, People who
are eager to make a difference in society.
The problem is that the majority of those people doesn't see
it that way. Some groups (specifically the traditional political parties) made
an illusion in their minds. An illusion which makes them feel safe and stable. But
behind the canvas of this beautiful false image, those groups are taking away
the true political power from the common people.
In the false political world
made as a result of this illusion, People are busy being divided into political
parties and arguing about ideas of those parties. Their ideology is being
limited to the ideas of a few, who are leading their political party. Spoiler alert!!! in most cases those ideas are not for the well being of the country or the people.
For some countries in the world, this might be different.
But in third world countries, this is the reason they are being in “Developing
Country” state for decades. As an example, our country – which you might
already know or later will find out – is a developing country since 1948 and still
in a continuous downfall than a development. We had our rough times of course but,
the main reason for this off-course is corrupted people holding great power
in their hands.
Through this article series, we are trying to make people
aware of our own responsibilities and the true power we have in the political
world. We hope this effort will make a positive effect on the society. We will
bring our opinions in upcoming weeks as well as the ideas from people who dream
about making a better world and thinks out of the box.
We are our own government. We are the power.
