Tensions in Middle East: Donald Trump instructs to ‘shoot down and destroy’ Iranian gunboats
On April 16th 2020, 11 Iranian Islamic Revolution Guard Corps navy vessels dangerously approached six of US Navy vessels which were involved in a military exercise in international waters in the Gulf.
However, The Islamic Revolution Guard's statement said that US forces had blocked one of its ships in two separate incidents in early April, using "dangerous behaviour while ignoring warnings". IRGC also had increased patrols in the Gulf after the incident.
Today (22), US President Donald Trump issued a warning in twitter by telling the US navy to ‘shoot down and destroy’ Iranian gunboats.

An Iranian armed forces spokesman Sardar Abolfazl Shekarchi later criticised the President Trump's tweet by saying, "Today, instead of bullying others, the Americans should put all their efforts toward saving those members of their forces who are infected with the coronavirus."I have instructed the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea.— Donald J. Try it and your ships will be seeing Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles very quickly, even the Pentagon says they are the best they have ever seen.
